Avicii was been the victim of online piracy this week as it was revealed that his unreleased album ‘True,’ was leaked to the world five days before it's official September 17th release date.
As one of the most eagerly anticipated albums of the year, "True" will still break all records and, in the predictions of some people, is set to be the biggest selling dance music album, not only of the year, but of all time. Avicii's first single from the album, "Wake Me Up," has been played almost everywhere and used for TV shows as well being played on country, rock and mainstream radio shows. His commercial crossover has the Swedish DJ set to be a household name, as his music is being listened to by people from almost every generation.
It will be sometime before we find out if this will effect album sales, but, like all leaked projects, it leaves questions for the Avicii
camp to find out who did it.
Or...this could be one big PR stunt by Avicii
and his "people" to create even MORE buzz for the launch. Who knows, but love him or hate him, be prepared for the world to go Avicii
crazy come September 17th
" will be everywhere.
