Bows were being thrown on June 14th at SoHo New York’s W.i.P. nightclub, which is located inside of Greenhouse. Chris Brown and Drake apparently had a dispute over
“The Only Girl in the World” AKA Rihanna, which resulted in a bottles being thrown and a bloody chin for Brown, as well as a number of injuries sustained by others. Unfortunately, face bandages aren’t the only unsightly consequence resulting out of this dispute.
This weekend, the
NY Post reported that the NY State Liquor Authority has filed 14 charges against both W.i.P. and Greenhouse. One of the charges included in this bunch is for the club’s inability to put a stop to the Brown vs. Drake brawl. Seven of the charges are for other fights which have taken place at the club, two are for drug-related incidents and the others are for noise violations. The club will have until July 11, 2012 to respond to these charges.
W.i.P. security,
Where Have You Been? The NY Post asserts that W.i.P. should have known better than to put two separate hip hop camps so close to one another on the same night. According to that same Post article, the fight happened as a result of a note that Drake wrote to Brown, which insinuated ties to Rihanna. Way to take it off Twitter and back to the old school, Drake! Who even knew people carried pens and paper anymore...
As for the bulk of the charges being brought against W.i.P., most of these accusations seem like standard club fare currency when it comes to nightlife rule-bending.
