Hotel Chantelle (on Ludlow), usually packed on the weekends with three floors of music, played host to the after party for the debut of the movie "Hysteria" with Hugh Dancy on Monday.  Joining him there were Angela Lansbury, Darren Criss, and among others, Mamie Gummer and Ben Walker.

"Hysteria" directed by Tanya Wexler, is a movie set in the 1880's has an all star cast featuring Hugh Dancy himself, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jonathan Pryce, Felicity Jones, and Rupert Everett. In the 19th century, doctors used to treat all of a woman's problem under the umbrella of what they called "hysteria."  Every ailment was attributed to that cause.  The movie takes a comedic approach as Dr. Mortimer Granville (Hugh Dancy) invents the world's first....vibrator. Due to the thematics of the movie, a vibrator gift bag was given to guests leaving Hotel Chantelle.

The movie will hit theaters everywhere May 18, 2012.
