After traveling through Asia, Val may have come up physically empty handed, but he came home to LA with a head full of ideas for audible outerwear. That is, devising an innovative line of sexy, stylish, and colorful headphones - and of course, orange would be included in that color palette. Enter: V-MODA , the headphone and audio gear company he later founded.
Val began V moda in LA and the company has grown tremendously since that time. Nowadays you can find Val anywhere from LA to NY, Hong Kong to Ibiza, traversing the globe spreading sweet sounds with a focus on fashion for his full line of V-MODA headphones and audio products.
We caught up with Val in New York’s Gramercy Park Hotel during a recent press trip where he was unveiling a brand new V-MODA iphone case amplifier. He gave us a demo of the device, explaining that not only did this act as an audio amplifier for the headphones, it also doubled as a cell phone charger. How’s that for repurposing?
